Retired player.

Happy Friday!

Rick Vaive is probably best-known as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he was team captain and reached the 50-goal plateau 3 times.

He also played for the Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks and Buffalo Sabres. Vaive actually got his professional start playing for the Birmingham Bulls of the World Hockey Association.

I sent 5 cards to Vaive and he signed all of them. The Maple Leafs and Sabres cards were signed in blue Sharpie marker, while the taller Blackhawks card was signed in black Sharpie marker. Apparently, he used whatever color best matched the team's uniform. Vaive also wrote his uniform number beneath his signature--22 for the Leafs and Sabres, and 27 for the Blackhawks.
