Perhaps one good thing about the current NHL lockout is that players will get a chance to get caught up with their fan mail.

Jimmy Howard has been the Red Wings' starting goaltender for the past three seasons. He autographed my three cards in black Sharpie marker and added 35, his uniform number, beneath each signature.

This is my third success with Howard--he also signed cards for me last year and way back in 2007.
