Adam Magarrell
Retired player.
Signed insert card purchased at a card shop on September 21, 2012.
Adam Magarrell was the Philadelphia Flyers fourth round pick in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. Unfortunately, the defenseman never made it to the NHL. In fact, he never even played in the minor leagues. After the Flyers drafted him, he played 3 more seasons of Junior hockey, took a year off, then played one season of college hockey in Canada.
This card is just awful beyond awful. Notice how the yellow-to-orange gradient surrounds Magarrell's draft-day photograph--it just looks weird, like they meant to cover the original gray backdrop but did not quite finish the job.
Also note the "mutilated" Flyers logo. Since Signature Rookies was not licensed by the National Hockey League, they could not legally show any team logos. Instead of covering up the whole logo area, they modified it enough so it didn't look exactly like the Flyers logo.
