Round Trip!

Randy Moller

Retired player. Currently the radio  play-by-play announcer for the Florida Panthers.

Fan letter sent: September 14, 2009.

Autographs received: September 4, 2012.

Talk about never say never! I wrote to former NHL defenseman Randy Moller wayyyyyy back in September 2009--10 days shy of 3 years ago. It took a long time, but he signed my 4 cards in black Sharpie marker.

I have no idea why this success took so long. Moller has spent the past 12 seasons working for the Florida Panthers' broadcast team, so it isn't like he moved cross-country recently. Perhaps my letter was misplaced.

Moller spent 13 years in the NHL--most of it with the Quebec Nordiques. He also played for the New York Rangers, Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers.

This return took 1,086 days, but is only my second-longest of 2012. In February of this year, I received 2 signed cards from Joey Kocur that took 1,104 days.
