Kyle Beach had an impressive career in junior hockey. He was named rookie of the year in the Western Hockey League (WHL) in the 2006-07 season. In his last season of junior hockey (2009-10), Beach scored 52 goals and 34 assists in 68 games.
Beach was drafted in the first round (11th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2008. He played the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons for the Rockford Icehogs (AHL). There, he has averaged a point in every other game--not really great numbers.
However, Beach is 6-foot-3 and plays left wing. The Blackhawks could really use a power forward. I could see this guy playing on a line with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane.
