Joe Lavin is a big, 6-foot-3 defenseman. He played for the United States National Team Development Program, where he was teammates with Patrick Kane, James Van Riemsdyk and Colin Wilson. Lavin then played 4 seasons of college hockey.
Last year was Lavin's first season of professional hockey. He scored 17 points (3G, 14A) in 71 games and only got 20 penalty minutes. However, he had a plus/minus of -2.
Given his size, I'd like to think that Lavin will one day get a chance to play for the Chicago Blackhawks.
