Tony Esposito

hockey cardTony Esposito

Retired player.

Elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988.

Autograph obtained in person on July 21, 2012.

Tony Esposito played 15 seasons for the Chicago Blackhawks (1969-1984), had his jersey number (35) retired and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Every year, he is a guest at the Chicago Blackhawks Convention, but the only way to get his signature is via a lottery. This year, I was lucky and was able to get an item signed. After careful consideration, I decided to get my 1981-82 Topps "Super Action" card of Tony-O autographed. I now have 96 out of 196 possible cards signed.

Tony-O loves talking with the fans and takes his time when signing autographs. He also is a sharp dresser--the only player (former or current) to wear a three-piece suit at the Convention.

I don't think he EVER responded to TTM requests--not even in the 1990s.
