Steve Larmer

hockey cardSteve Larmer

Retired player.

Autograph obtained in person on July 21, 2012.

Steve Larmer was one of the former players at the 2012 Chicago Blackhawks Convention. I got this card signed by him in black Sharpie marker. Notice that the name at the top says "Steve Ludzik," but the photo is of Steve Larmer. Back in 1983, O-Pee-Chee swapped the photos of Larmer and Ludzik on their trading cards. (More about that here).

Larmer played 13 seasons in the NHL--13 with the Chicago Blackhawks and 2 with the New York Rangers. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL Rookie of the Year in 1983, and won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Rangers in 1994. He also played in 884 consecutive NHL games--the third-longest streak in NHL history.
