Dave MansonRetired player.
Autographs obtained in person on July 21, 2012.
Dave Manson was the Chicago Blackhawks first pick (11th overall) in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. After one season as an overage junior, Manson made the jump to the NHL. He enjoyed a 16-season NHL career that included All-Star Game appearances in 1988 and 1993, and spent virtually no time in the minors (only 8 games).
Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, I was never able to get Manson's autograph in person. I never had any success when writing to him either--I tried in 2010, and probably once or twice in the 1990s. So, when I went to the Blackhawks Convention last month, I made it a point to make sure to get his autograph.
I was able to get 2 things signed by Manson--his O-Pee-Chee rookie card from 1989-90, and his "card" inside of the 1989-90 Chicago Blackhawks Team Photo Album (below).

The Keith Brown signature is from 1989. I have to get autographs from the other 4 players on this page someday.
