Jim Craig

Retired player.

Fan letter sent: February 8, 2012.

Autographs received: February 28, 2012.

Jim Craig is best remembered as the goaltender of Team USA during the 1980 Winter Olympic--the "Miracle on Ice" team. He also played in the NHL with the Atlanta Flames and Boston Bruins, and again would represent the U.S. in the Canada Cup. Unfortunately, his career was cut way short due to injuries.

Craig kindly signed all 4 cards in blue Sharpie marker, personalizing each one To Sal.

It is nice to get Craig's rookie card signed and I am glad to get another card in the All Goalies set signed too. But my favorite is the "Greatest Olympians" card that features a smiling Craig giving a thumbs-up after winning the gold-medal game against Finland.
