Grant Mulvey

Grant Mulvey

Retired player.

Autographs acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

Grant Mulvey was the first round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in 1974, and played 9 seasons with them. His last season ('83-84) was played for the New Jersey Devils.

Mulvey was signing autographs at the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks Convention.

Murray Bannerman

Murray Bannerman

Retired player.

Autographs acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

Bannerman spent 7 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, and played in the NHL All-Star Game twice. He was one of several former Blackhawks signing autographs at the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks Convention.

In the past, I have received autographs from Bannerman through the mail, but it is way cooler to meet the player in person to get an autograph in person.

Eric Nesterenko

Eric Nesterenko

Retired player.

Autograph acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

Nesterenko was on the 'Hawks team that won the Stanley Cup in 1961. In fact, he was on a lot of 'Hawks teams. He played in Chicago for 16 seasons (1956 to 1972).

While Nesterenko does sign autographs through the mail, he usually uses ballpoint pen. So it was nice to have an opportunity to get something signed in blue Sharpie marker.

Patrick Sharp

Patrick Sharp.

Currently with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Autograph acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

I got this 8" x 10" photo signed by Patrick Sharp at this year's Chicago Blackhawks Convention.

Unlike Brent Seabrook, who would not sign over the Stanley Cup, Sharp signed the picture over the Cup even though I didn't ask him to.

Steve Larmer

Steve Larmer

Retired player.

Autograph acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

Shellie also got this signed for me at the Blackahwks Convention. Larmer is one of the greatest Blackhawks of all-time.

Bryan Bickell

Bryan Bickell

Currently with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Autograph acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

Bickell spent most of last season with the Rockford Icehogs, the 'Hawks AHL team. He did play 4 games for the 'Hawks in the playoffs, and so I guess that makes him part of the championship squad.

Anyway, my girlfriend Shellie got this card signed for me in at the Chicago Blackhawks Convention.

Ab McDonald

Ab McDonald

Retired player.

Autograph acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

Ab McDonald was on the 'Hawks team that won the Stanley Cup in 1961, and played on the "Scooter Line."

In the past, I have written to McDonald, who does sign through-the-mail. However, he signed my cards in a very thin makrer. So, it was nice to have the opportunity to get this card autographed in blue Sharpie marker.

Frank Pelico

Frank Pelico

Currently the organist for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Autographs acquired in-person on July 31, 2010.

Frank Pelico is the organ player at the United Center for the Chicago Blackhawks--yes, the 'Hawks have an organ. Sscore one for tradition!

Pelico was at the Blackhawks Convention, playing a smaller organ and passing out autographed photos of himself. It is a nice picture--and I really did want his autograph--but I wish that the quality of the picture was better. It was obviously printed on a computer. C'mon, Blackhawks. The guy has been with the team for 20 years--can't you spot him a stack of glossy photos, or include him in next year's team set?

Jack Skille

Jack Skille

Currently with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Autographs acquired in-person on July 31, 2010.

One photo and one card, signed in blue Sharpie marker by Blackhawks winger Jack Skille. He asked if I wanted number 11 or number 20 added to his autograph--he wore 11 up until last season, when John Madden took that number. Skille then switched to 20, and mentioned that he was going to stick with that number.

John Scott

John Scott

Currently with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Autograph acquired in-person on July 31, 2010.

John Scott recently signed with the Chicago Blackhawks. He was signing autographs at the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks Convention.

He asked me why people kept asking him to sign his autograph in blue marker, and I explained to him that the autograph looks better in blue.

Eric Daze

Eric Daze

Retired player.

Autograph acquired in-person on July 31, 2010.

I got one card and one photo signed by Eric Daze at the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks Convention. I got the photo signed for my sister. Daze liked the photo because it was taken during the preseason of his rookie year. He pointed out that the gloves that he wore in the photo were borrowed from Craig Muni.

Glenn Hall

Glenn Hall

Retired player. Elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1975.

Autograph acquired in-person on August 1, 2010.

I had the opportunity to get Mr. Goalie's autograph at this year's Chicago Blackhawk Convention. At my request, he signed my Tall Boys card in blue Sharpie marker.

Hall also added his number, 1,  beneath his signature.

Brent Seabrook

Brent Seabrook

Currently with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Autograph acquired in-person on July 31, 2010.

Seabrook signed this photo for me at the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks Convention.

I asked him to sign on the Stanley Cup, since it is a light area and your eyes are drawn to it. But Seabrook didn't want to sign it there, so he signed at the bottom on his jersey. Either way, it looks cool.

Dennis Hull

Dennis Hull

Retired player.

Autograph acquired in-person on July 31, 2010.

I got this card signed at the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks Convention.

One nice thing about getting in-person autographs is that you can ask the player to sign with a specific marker. Thus, I got this autographed in blue Sharpie marker.

Dennis Hull is always laughing and smiling when talking to the fans.
